Chabot shines bright easily over Hartnell

Keshon Miller. \\ March 3, 2026.

Chabot put together a great, complete performance of their season so far on Tuesday, exploding for ten runs on seventeen hits in a 10–3 win over Hartnell to secure their fourth victory of the year, improving to 4–13. The Glads jumped ahead really early, stayed potent and aggressive at the plate, and never let Hartnell come back into the game to contend.

The tone was set right from the jump as Luca Boccasile drove in two runs in the very first inning, and the momentum only grew from there. Riley Winchell cracked a two‑run homer, and Jonathan Sheppard added an RBI single to push the lead to 5–0. Chabot then broke the game open with a five‑run fourth inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Juan Pablo Manzo, Boccasile, Braden Spade, and Terrell Scott‑Romain, pushing the lead to 10–1.

On the mound, freshman Chase McGill earned the win with four innings of one-hit ball, and the bullpen worked well together as Edward Zacharia Said, Joshua Van Loon, and Carlos Hernandez combined to allow just two hits the rest of the way. Chabot also played great, error‑free defense for all nine innings.

With their fourth win, you can say the Glads are looking up. As the offense clicked in, the pitching staff settled in, and the team finally found some rhythm. The Glads head home with momentum and will look to keep it rolling on March 5th, when they host Gavilan in their next match‑up.
