Chabot College Grad Fair

The Chabot College 2026 Grad Fair took place on March 11, offering an exciting opportunity for students planning to celebrate their academic achievement.

Walking in, tables lined up across the room where participants could purchase their caps and gowns, college rings and necklaces, and various types of graduation memorabilia. Prices for everything were displayed on the tables, for you to decide what fits you best.

There were also deadlines for when you had to order everything. April 1 was the first deadline to fill out your graduation forms. If you had any questions, there was someone to help you find where to fill the form out and who to see to get it done efficiently.

One of the intriguing packages offered was called the “Grad Pack & Save,” which included your cap and gown, a certificate of appreciation, and a frame for your diploma. You could also purchase just your cap, gown, and tassel for $53.00, or add a bling tassel for an additional $5.00.

Graduation caps and gowns are available for purchase and will be shipped to your home by April 26 or May 7 (expedited). It is important to ensure that all students who plan to attend the ceremony make their purchases in advance to avoid any last-minute delays.

I spoke with Keshon Miller, who is graduating this semester, about what he is excited about for his future after Chabot. Keshon said, “I’m excited to adventure off at SF State, ready to grow and be on my own. Getting that actual college feel.”

He says, “ I plan on having a career broadcasting sports or being a type of counselor or therapist. I feel that I have an uplifting voice and feel comfortable helping people. I want to gain more experience.”

Graduating can feel like such an accomplishment, but you also get nervous about what comes next. Whether that be going to a University or starting your own career as an adult. The important thing is to appreciate your time on campus and the hard work you have done in your academic career.

It will be exciting to see fellow classmates in their cap and gown, one step closer to achieving their dreams.
