Entrance to Foodie Fest

Annual Foodie Fest, Family-friendly, Festive, and Flavorful

Leo Torres. \\ April 10, 2026.

The third annual Foodie Fest, hosted by West Coast Makers, returns to Chabot College.

The second of the three scheduled events took place March 14 from 12 to 6 p.m.; the first festival was held previously on Feb. 28, with the final event set for April 4.

A free event featuring more than 90 vendors at the annual festival.

Various vendors across the festival grounds offered several items for sale. Food options ranged from South American fare, tacos, American BBQ, Filipino cuisine and more.

Cold drinks were also available, including a selection of alcoholic beverages and homemade juices. Not to forget all the delicious quick-bites and desserts, consisting of baked goods, loaded french fries, Dole Whip, and ice cream.

We purchased delicious Filipino/fusion cuisine from Rye Cookin, which consisted of chicken skewers over rice. We washed them down with some thirst-quenching sugarcane juice from Sugarcane Cafe. Finally, we purchased some desserts to top off our foodie feast from Dough Getter Bakery, which sells a variety of rich and tasty baked goods.

Some vendors also sold clothing, accessories, latin artisanal candles, as well as plenty of toys and knickknacks for children.

The local event was advertised to be a family-friendly event, and it was true to its word. Offering plenty of kid-related activities, like bouncy houses, face paint, and a rubber axe throwing station.

While constantly sure to keep the good-vibes flowing, the event had a live solo-drummer on one side of the venue and a DJ right in the midst of the event.

There was also a car showcase in partnership with the East Bay car club, featuring a range of vintage and classic models, including a Chevy Impala, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Camaro and Cadillac vehicles.

One of the more unique vehicles present was a 1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. The owner proudly praised it as having all original parts, including a horn so loud we convinced the owner to hear it by only quickly tapping the button to not alarm the other guests. He explained that while he loves to show off his vintage car, it is only ever taken out for special occasions, and the annual Foodie Fest fills the criteria.

Hosted by the West Coast Makers, the annual festival is a free, family-friendly event featuring food and drinks from across the venue. The lively atmosphere draws crowds each year. The final event took place on April 4 at Chabot College.
