The film stars Keke Palmer and SZA as best friends Dreux and Alyssa, who scramble to raise rent money after Alyssa’s boyfriend squanders it. Their misadventures across Los Angeles blend humor and heart, offering a fresh take on friendship and resilience.
Keke Palmer, who stars in the film, was honored with the Entertainer of the Year award at the 56th NAACP Image Awards, recognizing her outstanding performance in the movie. The film itself has garnered positive reviews, boasting a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes,

Dr. Kim Morrison shared why she chose the movie when she stated, “I chose it because of what’s happening in the world. We need laughter in our lives. The movie had me laughing a lot. The movie also has a great way of flipping it over and making fun of stereotypes within various communities.”
