On Sept. 12 the long awaited continuation of the Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba anime’s story and first in a trilogy “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle” released in American theaters and many other’s worldwide.

The story left off in it’s 5th season in 2024 with its Hashira Training arc I’m here to review the movie as someone who has finished reading the original manga around 5 years ago and has been anticipating this movie since the second season was nearing its finale. It came as no surprise that the animation from Ufotable, the animation studio responsible for the movie, visually stunning as always but seeing this be one big production instead of budget per episode made everything what I was hoping to see more beautiful than expected.

The thing I have been estatic to see animated has always been the entire section dedicated to Upper Moon 3 Akaza, I have been waiting to see the fight between Tanjiro, Giyu and Akaza for so long that when I saw it in theaters my expectations were blown out of the water in real time. I was excited to see and hear everything from the voice acting to the animation and everything in between. Without saying much as to not spoil it a certain character’s backstory was handled so beautifully with its dialogue whether you watched it in English or Japanese audio the voice actor’s put their all into their performances to make this the best movie they could possibly provide.

From my perspective, I’ll say that seeing people positive reviews makes me all the more excited to see the other two movies get released. I’m personally the most excited to see the next movie as my favorite characters get more screen time, it was pretty funny seeing some people cosplay or represent their favorites and I damn well know they have like three lines of dialogue in these two and a half hours.

The only negative thing I can really say about this movie isn’t about the movie. It’s the potential release schedule as the story could at best case scenario take until 2029 to finish which is understandably frustrating for anime only watchers. We would have to wait almost four years to see its ending in an animated format but if you are really desperate to find out viewers can do this often frightening activity known as reading. I’ll give you a hot tip for those who do want to read the rest you’ll want to pick up from chapter 157 which is inside volume 18 and read from there onward.
